Project Overview
SwitchedOn Electrical was appointed to support the refurbishment of Mile Oak Medical Centre, working in collaboration with Orange Property. The project involved reconfiguring two existing consulting rooms into three in order to increase patient capacity. The key priority was to carry out the work swiftly and discreetly, minimising any disruption to daily operations and patient care.
Work Completed
Lighting Adaptation & Installation: Existing fittings were adapted to suit the new room layout, and new LED lighting was installed to ensure bright, energy-efficient lighting in all three consulting rooms.
Socket Reconfiguration: Existing sockets were moved to accommodate new floor plans, with additional sockets added to suit modern medical equipment requirements.
Data & Connectivity: New data points were installed for internet and phone systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for staff and clinicians.
Low-Disruption Working: All work was carried out with a focus on cleanliness, speed and minimal impact on the medical centre’s day-to-day function.
Results
The upgraded consulting rooms are now in full use, allowing Mile Oak Medical Centre to accommodate more appointments and improve patient flow.
